Catastrophe struck Florida's panhandle Wednesday as Hurricane Sally inched ashore with rainfall measured in feet. Downtown Pensacola was under water with many hours of rain still expected and life-threatening storm surge pummeling coastal areas. Some areas were expected to see as much as 35 inches of rain before Sally departs. Here are photos of the disaster as it unfolded.
