'Earth Hour' celebrated tonight

Tonight is the sixth annual Earth Hour, an event the World Wildlife Fund created to promote awareness of global climate change. Participants are encouraged to turn lights out for an hour at 8:30 p.m.

Organizers are among those concerned fossil fuel carbon emissions are trapping more heat inside the Earth’s atmosphere and warming the planet. (If you, perhaps, disagree, you can at least save some on your electricity bill.)
