The dew point is on the rise Tuesday, making it feel a little bit more humid and warm today. And that humidity is expected to turn to isolated storms this afternoon.

Temperatures topped out at 81 at the Sun weather station, with the dew point reaching 61 degrees earlier in the afternoon. Any dew point above 60 means people can start to feel some humidity, but most aren't uncomfortable. BWI Airport reached 80 degrees by 4 p.m., with a dew point of 51 degrees, down from 55 earlier in the morning.

It's, of course, not that humid compared with the muggiest summer days, when the dew point can near 80 degrees. But it's probably the most humidity we've felt in 2012.

Tuesday's temperatures missed the record of 85 degrees from 1990. But we could likely beat Wednesday's record for highest recorded daily minimum temperature. The record is 54 degrees, also from 1990, but the National Weather Service is forecasting the day to start around 61 degrees and end around 59 degrees. 

A hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service warns of expected scattered to isolated thunderstorms this afternoon and evening capable of producing large hail and damaging winds.
