Severe thunderstorms are possible in the Baltimore area Tuesday afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service said, bringing damaging winds, large hail and the possibility of a tornado.
While the threat of storms is “somewhat conditional,” the weather service said, any storms that do develop will likely be severe. There is also a small risk of a tornado.
Storms are most likely to hit Northern Maryland, the weather service said, with the highest risk coming between 2 p.m.-11 p.m.
Tonight temperatures will be mild in the mid to upper 60s to low 70s. Thunderstorms and showers will be likely tomorrow with some storms have the potential to be strong to severe and produce damaging winds and large hail. pic.twitter.com/1p61eWNNZh
