Baltimore's warmest December in recent memory set another record Sunday.
The high of 69 degrees at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport surpassed what was previously the warmest Dec. 27 on record: 65 degrees in 1949, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures should slip down into the 40s Monday and stay below 60 for the beginning of the week as a cold front moves through the Baltimore area Sunday night, forecasters said.
"Overall, this coming week should be cooler than it's been," said meteorologist Ray Martin. "Most of the week should be in the 40s and 50s."
