As much as half an inch of rain is forecast Wednesday, with more possible where storms and downpours form.
A cold front is stalling over the region, expected to remain nearly stationary through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. It brought a line of heavy early-afternoon rain showers through the Baltimore area, with more chances for scattered showers and storms later Wednesday and Thursday.
Nearly 2 inches of rain has fallen already in July at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, on top of the more than 13 inches that fell there last month. At least a trace of rain fell at BWI on five out of the first six days of the month, and 10 days out of the past two weeks.
