No need to bundle up under Halloween costumes this year — temperatures in the 60s are likely during trick-or-treating around Baltimore.
Dry weather is also in the forecast.
Afternoon highs are forecast in the upper 60s, if not above 70 degrees. Temperatures are likely to remain in the lower 60s past sundown into early evening.
Overnight lows are forecast in the mid-50s, closer to normal highs for this time of year.
It will likely be Baltimore’s mildest Halloween in five years. There have been seasonable temperatures with highs between 57 and 60 degrees and lows in the 30s and 40s for each of the past four nights of trick-or-treating here. Highs approached 70 degrees on Halloween in 2013.
The mild weather also coincides with the tail end of early voting for Maryland’s general election.
It hasn’t rained on Halloween in Baltimore since 2009, and that year, just 0.03 inches of precipitation fell at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
