An icy mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is forecast for the evening commute.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for the entire Baltimore region through 9 p.m. Snow accumulations of up to an inch and a slight glaze of ice are expected, according to the National Weather Service.
State Highway Administration officials again said they would deploy crews and monitor road conditions but urged drivers to be careful.
"We have yet another storm where the primary impact is expected to be during a weekday rush hour," SHA Administrator Melinda B. Peters said in a statement. "Crews will treat roads, but with freezing rain and sleet expected, we continue to ask drivers to drive cautiously and at a speed appropriate for the conditions."
