Traces of snow and ice were reported north and west of Baltimore early Tuesday as temperatures plunged 35 degrees colder than they were a day ago.
The National Weather Service reported traces of snowfall across northern Baltimore and Harford counties and Carroll County, with as much as 0.8 inches of snow in Hampstead.
Temperatures plummeted after a cold front passed through late Monday. They fell from a high of 69 degrees Monday afternoon at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to a low of 34 early Tuesday morning.
