Frigid air returns Friday, with temperatures in the 20s throughout the day bringing slick conditions after sun and temperatures in the mid-30s brought some melting Thursday.
With 10-15 mph winds, it will feel more like the teens, however.
Overnight lows were forecast in the upper teens and lower 20s. Passing flurries were possible in the overnight hours and continuing into the day Friday. Mostly cloudy skies are expected.
Some sunshine is forecast Saturday, but temperatures are expected to remain in the lower 20s much of the day, possibly reaching the lower 30s in the afternoon.
Sunday could reach 40 degrees before a chance of a wintry mix moves in for the evening and into Monday morning.
Mild temperatures are forecast to start next week, with highs in the upper 40s Monday, but then a mix of rain and snow is looking likely Tuesday into Wednesday.
