Sunny, dry weather forecast for Memorial Day weekend

Plenty of sunshine and seasonable temperatures are forecast for Memorial Day weekend both around Baltimore and at the beaches.

Highs are forecast in the mid-70s Friday and Saturday and in the lower 80s Sunday and Monday around Baltimore. Mostly sunny skies are forecast to start the weekend, with some clouds moving in Sunday and mostly cloudy skies Monday.

About a 30 percent chance of showers and storms is forecast on Memorial Day.

Cooler temperatures are forecast for Ocean City. Highs are forecast around 70 degrees Friday, in the mid-60s Saturday, in the lower 70s Sunday and the upper 70s on Memorial Day. But strong sunshine is forecast to help things feel warmer throughout the long weekend.

The water is a cool 60 degrees at the Ocean City inlet.
