Sub-freezing wind chills return Friday

After a day of more moderate temperatures, frigid air returns Friday, with wind chills forecast in the 20s all day.

Overnight lows were expected in the mid- to upper-20s, with temperatures expected to rise above freezing by midday. But 15-25 mph winds are forecast to make things feel 5-10 degrees colder.

Afternoon highs are forecast in the mid-30s, with wind chills in the mid-20s. Mostly sunny skies are expected.

Temperatures could drop to the mid-20s early Saturday morning, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-40s during the day.

Sunday is expected to reach the 50s with chances for showers increasing into the afternoon and evening. Rain is likely overnight Sunday into Monday, with highs Monday surging to the upper 60s.

More seasonable weather is forecast to settle in Tuesday and into Thanksgiving.
