Storm chances, heat index around 90 degrees forecast Wednesday

Another humid day with the heat index rising to around 90 degrees is forecast in the Baltimore area Wednesday, with about a 50 percent chance of more rain or storms, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are forecast to reach the mid- to upper-80s, with dew points in the lower 70s making the air feel wet and thick.

Storm chances could diminish but are still expected to be present Thursday for the Fourth of July holiday. About a 40 percent chance of storms is expected, with highs around 90 degrees. With the humidity, it could feel like the mid-90s.

Highs are forecast around 90 degrees again on Friday, with a 30 percent chance of storms.

For the weekend, highs are forecast in the lower 90s with 30 percent storm chances.
