Shower, thunderstorm chances forecast for Tuesday

A stretch of rainy weather was expected to break up otherwise nice weather in the Baltimore area Tuesday, with showers and thunderstorms likely and possible for the next couple of days as well.

The National Weather Service predicts a 70 percent chance of rain and storms throughout the day. Between a quarter of an inch and half an inch of rain is possible.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the 70s throughout the day, with highs in the upper 70s.

The rain is expected to continue Wednesday, with more shower and storm chances with a chance for about half an inch of rain. Highs Wednesday are expected in the lower 80s.

Thursday and Friday could bring more storm chances and more warmth and humidity, with highs in the upper 80s.
