Foggy, rainy weather was forecast to continue into the morning hours Wednesday before some sunshine reappears and temperatures surge into the upper 50s.
A dense fog advisory was in effect through 10 a.m. across the region. Visibility could be limited to 1/4 mile, the National Weather Service cautioned.
Rain was expected to continue through overnight, with low temperatures in the lower 40s. Chances for showers could extend to midday Wednesday.
After the rain clears out, partly cloudy skies are expected.
Sunshine and highs in the lower 50s are forecast Thursday.
Rain is likely again Friday, with temperatures hovering in the lower 40s.
More rain and highs in the upper 50s are forecast Saturday.
