Heat index tops 100 degrees Saturday

5:46 P.M. UPDATE: The Inner Harbor topped out at 98 degrees on Saturday, while BWI Airport hit 93 degrees, tying for the hottest temperature measured there so far this year.

ORIGINAL POST, 3:51 P.M.: Temperatures in the 90s with high humidity were making it feel around 100 degrees or hotter in Baltimore on Saturday afternoon.

At the Inner Harbor, it hit 97 degrees about 3 p.m. with a dew point of 70 degrees, a heat index of 104 degrees. Any dew point level above the mid-60s indicates high moisture in the air and feels uncomfortable and sticky.
