Heat index in mid-90s forecast Wednesday with isolated storm risks

Highs approaching 90 degrees are forecast with high humidity making it feel sticky and like the mid-90s in the afternoon in the Baltimore area, according to the National Weather Service.

A 60 percent chance of isolated storms is expected in the afternoon and evening hours. Mostly cloudy skies are expected, possibly keeping temperatures down, though humidity is expected to be high with dew points in the lower 70s.

More storm chances are possible Thursday, with highs around 90 degrees.

Friday and Saturday could bring a relative drop in heat and humidity, with highs in the mid- to upper-80s and dew points in the lower to mid-60s.
