As usual, plenty of heat and humidity are forecast for Artscape, this weekend's free arts and music festival along Mount Royal Avenue and Charles Street.

A southerly flow of warm, moist air is moving in for the weekend, bringing chances for afternoon and evening thunderstorms with it, according to the National Weather Service. Storm chances are expected to be about 30 percent.

So far, the weather service's Storm Prediction Center isn't forecasting strong chances that storms will turn severe.

But there will be plenty of humidity in the air. Dew points are forecast in the lower 70s, an uncomfortably high level.

That will make highs in the lower 90s feel more like the upper 90s both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
