One of the year's best meteor showers peaks early Sunday morning -- the Geminids.
You can see as many as 50-100 meteors as Earth passes through the debris and dust trail that asteroid 3200 Phaethon left behind.
They are known as the Geminids because they appear to radiate from the constellation Gemini. But you can look anywhere in the night sky to spot them.
It's usually best to look around 2 a.m. from somewhere with low light pollution and an unobstructed view of the sky. But the waning moon could outshine some of the more faint streaks of light from meteors, so it's worth looking late Saturday night, too.
