Mostly cloudy skies and highs in the lower 90s are forecast in the Baltimore area Wednesday, with a slight chance of afternoon storms, according to the National Weather Service.
Overnight lows were expected around 70 degrees, rising to around 80 degrees by mid-morning and into the 90s by early afternoon. A 10-15 mph breeze is expected in the afternoon and evening hours.
Forecasters estimate a 20 percent chance of storms in the evening hours.
Beyond that, skies are expected to be clearing as a "Bermuda high" system brings sunshine and hot, humid air through the weekend. Highs are forecast in the upper 90s, with lows around 70 degrees, Thursday and Friday.
Some clouds and storms could return for the weekend, with highs around 90 degrees and lows in the upper 60s.
