Don't be surprised to see a few snowflakes in the Baltimore area on Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service said Marylanders can "expect occasional snow flurries or a few brief periods of light snow" through the mid-morning.
With unseasonably cold temperatures around 30 degrees, "some slippery patches will be possible," the weather service said in its short-term forecast issued Saturday morning.
Saturday's high could reach the low 40s, but it will feel colder with northwest winds of 13 to 15 mph and gusts up to 31 mph.
With the strong winds, a small craft advisory was issued for the Chesapeake Bay through noon on Sunday.
Sunday should be a bit better, with sunny skies and a high near 48. And a warm-up is in store for the start of the workweek, with Monday's forecast calling for sunny skies and a high in the low 60s.
