Ocean City Beach Patrol welcomes new $2 million headquarters

The Ocean City Beach Patrol's new headquarters.
(Town of Ocean City)

As of this week, Ocean City Beach Patrol has a new headquarters at the corner of Talbot Street and South Philadelphia Avenue.

The $2 million building boasts 10,000 square feet of space on three floors for the administrative offices of the beach patrol along with storage for their equipment, rooms for training and an area for the Ocean City Police's bicycle unit.

Town officials describe the new facility's design as "traditional Ocean City aesthetic," but basically it's a very appropriate beachy looking building.

And if you've ever had occasion to visit the beach patrol's former cramped and creaky offices, you will agree that the new structure was definitely needed.
