Ocean City Police arrested a man with a gun on the boardwalk in Ocean City over the weekend.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, a boardwalk business owner called to report a man with a visible handgun on the boardwalk. Police said that while the man did not make threats with the gun, it could be seen by people on the boardwalk.

Using the city's camera surveillance system, police located the suspect around 12:45 a.m. near 7th Street and the boardwalk.

The man, identified as Mohammad W. Imani of Woodbridge, Va., was detained and then arrested after police said he was in possession of a stolen handgun.

Police charged Imani with multiple firearm violations. He is being held at Worcester County Jail on $40,000 bond.
