A Tampa-based company plans to begin offering flights next spring from BWI Marshall Airport to Cuba, where travel has been restricted since 1961, shortly after Fidel Castro took power and nationalized U.S.-owned businesses.

Vision Airlines will offer twice-weekly service between BWI and Freeport, a vacation destination that has in recent years been eclipsed by bustling Nassau.

BWI will add a second connection to Europe next summer when Germany's Condor Airlines launches twice-a-week service to Frankfurt.
