With mother nature wreaking havoc in the early part of the outdoor track season, it was hard for Bel Air’s Kieran McDermott to get in all the meets that coach Sharon Pickett was looking for him to run in.
“It was a little challenging getting him meets this spring due to weather,” Pickett said. “Pikesville was canceled and we went to Woodward relays to make it more of a team event.”
It turned out the early meets were not necessary as McDermott put in the best mile performance of the season at the Penn Relays, finishing in 4 minutes, 9.63 seconds.
