Poly hands Ben Franklin-Masonville first loss of season in boys basketball

Deep and versatile, the Poly boys basketball team can win games a number of different ways.

Many of them were on display in the first quarter of Tuesday's game at Ben Franklin-Masonville.

The No. 13 Engineers started hot from the outside. Later, they looked inside for points while playing solid defense to jump out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter. The rest of the game, every time the Bayhawks made a run, the Engineers answered and came away with a70-63 win.
