Jets edge Flyers on power play, 2-1

PHILADELPHIA -- Winnipeg goaltender Bob Essensa turned away 31 shots and Fredrik Olausson scored the game-winner on a power play to lead the Jets to a 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers last night.

Olausson broke a 1-1 tie at 12 minutes, 16 seconds of the second period when his point drive deflected off Flyer Mike Ricci's stick.

The Jets took a 1-0 lead in the first period on Mike Hartman's goal at 12:06. Hartman stripped Philadelphia defenseman Gord Murphy in front of his net and shot the puck past goaltender Ken Wregget.
