Pretension on target for Preakness

While many of the nation's best 3-year-old colts went post-ward May 5 in the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., Bowie-based Pretension stamped his ticket to the upcoming Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course Saturday afternoon by capturing the $75,000 Canonero II by a neck over fellow Bowie trainee Brimstone Island.
