Kyle Marr scored with 14 seconds remaining to lift the No. 6 Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse team to a 13-12 victory over host Rutgers on Sunday night.
The win is the sixth straight for the Blue Jays, while the Scarlet Knights had a three-game winning streak ended.
Johns Hopkins (7-2, 1-0 Big Ten) got a save from senior Brock Turnbaugh with two minutes remaining as he stopped Jack Coyne's shot from five yards out and the Blue Jays cleared. Working out of a timeout with 1:06 remaining, Marr eventually took a pass from Shack Stanwick (Boys' Latin) seven yards from the goal and rifled a shot to the top far corner for the winner.
