Terps eliminated in 2nd round of NCAAs
The No. 4 seed University of Maryland women's soccer team lost, 3-2, in overtime to Denver in the second round of the NCAA women's soccer tournament Friday night in Palo Alto, Calif. The Terps (14-7-2) took a 2-0 lead on an early goal by junior Hayley Brock and another by Becky Kaplan in the 60th minute, but the Pioneers came back with a goal in the 68th minute and a penalty kick with 40 seconds left in regulation, then ended the game in the 94th minute.
