BOSTON – One of the Orioles’ longest-tenured players, outfielder Nolan Reimold, will continue his career with one of the team’s American League East division rivals.
The Orioles confirmed Sunday that Reimold was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays.
Reimold, who has been limited to 56 games since the beginning of the 2012 season because of multiple neck surgeries, was designated for assignment last week after his 20-day minor league rehabilitation assignment window ended. He was placed on waivers Friday. Teams had 48 hours to place a claim on him.
