Although Marylanders didn’t come away with Emmy awards last night, the state’s designers won sartorially.
Eight attendees wore looks from womenswear designer and Annapolis native Christian Siriano. Though not as many as his epic nine looks from the 2016 Emmys, his showing at this year’s awards show was by far one of the most robust.
Among the celebrities sporting Siriano’s looks was Regina King, who won outstanding lead actress in a limited series for Netflix’s “Seven Seconds.” She started her acceptance speech by saying that she dropped lipstick on her lime green corseted Siriano gown.
