- James Wayne, a professor at the Community College of Baltimore County and an adjunct at the Johns Hopkins University, died March 30 at his Towson home of cancer. He was 76.
- Sister Marie Charles Grauer, a member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, who taught thousands of young women at the Institute of Notre Dame during her more than four decades career at the East Baltimore parochial school, died Tuesday at Villa Assumpta, her order's motherhouse in Woodbrook. She was 96.
- Alfred I. Daniel, who worked for various pharmaceutical companies, died.
- Sister Dolores Baumgartner, a retired parochial school and orphanage principal during her 74 years as a member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, died of a heart attack Feb. 27 at her order's Maria Health Care Center in the Woodbrook section of Baltimore County. She was 93.
