Hampdenfest is not the only game in town Saturday, Sept. 20. Another fest, the second annual Music to Your Gears is being held in Druid Hill Park as a fundraiser for Bikemore, a nonprofit organization that advocates for a more bicycle-friendly Baltimore. The festival is free and will have bands and will make money selling beer and T-shirts. Last year's fest raised about $2,000.
Homicide detectives gathered under a West Baltimore street lamp Wednesday evening and studied a pool of blood from a gunshot wound to the head of a 20-year-old man. As police notified his family and began to canvass the area, a spokesman assigned the victim a number: 199.
