After 90 years in Hampden, Tecumseh Tribe Lodge No. 108 of the Improved Order of Red Men is selling its building at 36th Street and Hickory Avenue, and joining a Red Men's lodge in Frederick County, 50 miles away The fraternal social club's membership in Hampden has dwindled, from a high of more than 400 in its heyday to 25 now, as its members age. The building is under contract. The new owners say they are still discussing what they want to do with it.
