- Elkridge: For the 11th straight year, Howard High School is proud to host the annual Karl Wolf Memorial Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday, April 7 at Rockburn Branch Park on Landing Road. This fundraising event is named after Wolf, a 1984 graduate of Howard High School, who died in 1999 from Hodgkin's disease.

- The Maryland City Recreation Council's Mustangs Soccer program started off a great season over the last two weeks with soccer games occurring every Friday night at the Maryland City Park field under the lights, and on Sunday afternoons on the field near the dog park. The baseball program also starts up after spring break.
