An indoor 6v6 showcase event spotlighting local girls soccer talent between the ages of 15-23 is scheduled to be held on April 26 at the Soccer Stop in Columbia.

As a kid, Kyle Beckerman always had his eye on the World Cup. He painted pictures of U.S. soccer stars, wowed classmates at Crofton Woods Elementary with his command of a soccer ball and even tagged his adolescent signature: "USA #15."

The U.S. men's national soccer team's first appearance in Baltimore since 1997 took a couple of interesting twists this week leading up to Sunday's CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinal against El Salvador at M&T Bank Stadium.
