Lacrosse equipment maker STX, which expanded earlier this year into hockey, is now selling ice hockey gloves and performance and recreational sticks in U.S. stores, the Baltimore company announced Monday.

Baltimore-based STX said Thursday that it's inked deals with five National Hockey League players as the company best known for lacrosse expands its ice-hockey line.

Athletes associate STX with lacrosse, but the Baltimore-based brand began appearing last month in stores on ice hockey sticks and is launching a line of men's field hockey sticks in the United Kingdom.

Baltimore sports equipment maker STX said it will being selling ice hockey gear this spring after announcing multi-years deals with the National Hockey League and USA Hockey, the sport's amateur governing body. STX also announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Matt Moulson of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres.
