Gospel music lovers missed their chances to purchase tickets for this year's "Afternoon of Musical Praise" featuring Grammy-winning artist Yolanda Adams, slated for August 18 at Aberdeen Proving Ground's Post Theater.
The Aberdeen Planning Commission approved the site plan for a Chick-fil-A restaurant at the southwest corner of Beards Hill Road and Route 22, arguably the city's busiest intersection, at its Wednesday meeting. The panel also gave similar approval to an Aldi supermarket planned for Route 40.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) apparently has a bone to pick with Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti. The animal rights group is trying to start a beef with Bisciotti over the Ravens¿ recent partnership with Yum Brands that will bring KFC to M&T Bank Stadium, and they are urging the Ravens to reconsider.
