Baldwin's Station Restaurant in Sykesville was named Maryland's Favorite Restaurant 2012 at the 58th annual McCormick & Company Stars of the Industry Awards Gala, held Monday, April 16, at Martin's West in Baltimore County.

Faith Baptist Church will host a 270th anniversary presentation of Jonathan Edwards' sermon, "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God," performed by the Rev. Dr. Paul Mathenia, of Faith Baptist, in period costume, Friday, July 8 at 7 p.m. at Deerfield Run Elementary School, 13000 Laurel Bowie Road.
