- Perryville Presbyterian Church said farewell to one of its long-time members, as she left the U.S. to go back to live in her homeland of Scotland. Louise Fagan was honored by the members of the church with a brunch after their Sunday service. Pastor Allen Yuninger presided over the church service
- Students in Howard County have missed nine school days because of inclement weather this winter, and the system was shut down completely for 11 days. The Howard County Public School System has applied to the Maryland State Department of Education to waive four of those days, but as of Tuesday, April 1, a waiver has not been granted.

- The Harford County Public School Board of Education voted to send students to school on April 17 - previously slated as a day off spring break - to make up for an instructional day missed for inclement weather.
- Harford County Public Schools are out of planned inclement weather make-up days, and school officials say will they need clarification from the state if they need to request a waiver of excused absence for at least two or, possibly, three days.
- After nearly 17 years as a tenant at Pheasant Run Shopping Center, New Life Christian Center has purchased the plaza with the intent of revitalizing it.
- The annual Way of the Cross observance in Havre de Grace began at noon Friday, as participants walked to several points in the city in this decades old Good Friday tradition organized by the Susquehanna Ministerium.
- Inside Bel Air United Methodist Church, visitors on Good Friday were not entering the fellowship hall but embarking on a journey through Jesus' last week in Jerusalem.
- The first year members of the Tabernacle Church organized a drive-through scenes of Easter, traffic backed up on the Baltimore/Washington Parkway as curious folks drove to church tucked away off South Laurel Drive to see what it was all about, according to the Rev. Paula Burton.
