Rumored to be one of the most haunted towns in the United States, historic Ellicott City is the site for the 2014 HallowRead — a book festival and mini-convention for authors and fans of paranormal, urban fantasy, steam punk and horror — on Friday, Oct. 24, through Sunday, Oct. 26.
The HallowRead festival includes author panels, writing workshops, ghost tours at the Patapsco Female Institute, a steampunk author tea, book signings, paranormal investigations at Mt. Ida and the Historical Society Museum, and palm and tarot card readings.
