History comes to life during annual compeition

Every year, Howard County Public Schools host a History Day competition. Projects are completed by individuals or groups of students at the school level and some are chosen to advance to the county competition. This year, 282 students from across the county in middle and high school had projects submitted for the county contest with the theme of “Conflict and Compromise in History.”

Entries were submitted in five categories: exhibit, performance, multimedia documentary, research paper and website. There were several winners from our local schools that deserve congratulations.
