Eddie Jordan's return to Rutgers had been rough. Taking over a program that made national headlines two years ago when Mike Rice was fired for verbally and physically abusing his players, Jordan helped changed the atmosphere. But the product failed to improve.
Damon Handon, who has been with D.C. Assault since it was founded in 1993, said that while Curtis Malone has remained as president, "he has not been involved in the day-to-day operation of the program for about five years."
Roddy Peters, the four-star recruit from Suitland who committed to Maryland on Tuesday, had a pretty good coach to learn from this past spring and summer while playing for D.C. Assault. Former Wizards coach Eddie Jordan, a former point guard himself, helped coach Peters on the local AAU powerhouse and believes the Terps made out well for themselves.
