After the skills he learned from his music teachers in Baltimore County Public Schools allowed Mac Calvaresi to see the world from behind a drum set, the musician is bringing years of experience to his old middle school to share it with a new generation. Calvaresi, 28, is taking over the string program at Ridgely Middle School, returning to his roots as a cellist after spending the better part of a decade drumming for the rock band Cinder Road, which opened for Kiss in 2008.
