The Orioles will all but complete their September roster expansion before Tuesday night's game at Yankee Stadium, bringing back Chris Davis from the 15-day disabled list and calling up four more players from the minor leagues.
Dylan Bundy, who agreed to a guaranteed $6.25 million major league contract on Aug. 15, said he is excited to get back on the mound after spending most of the summer in a holding pattern as he and his agent negotiated with the Orioles.
As the Orioles continue to get tossed around by their A.L. East rivals, it's easy to cite disparities in player salaries as the main culprit. After all, the Red Sox and Yankees annually spend at least $80 million more than the Orioles.
