Devotees come to Pam Smith's Jazzercise building in Glen Burnie several times a week for the exercise and the camaraderie.

At 7 p.m. on Friday night, the Catonsville High School auditorium featured songs from its current crop of steel band musicians and some of the school's most prestigious musical alumni. Chris Aschman, a freelance musician in Philadelphia, John Patti, a steel pan player, and Wye Oak's Andy Stack all performed with the students.
