- Hank Peters, general manager and architect of the last Orioles team to win a World Series in 1983, died at Sunday morning. He was 90.
- Joel J. "Buddy" Finkelstein, a semi-retired businessman who earlier had been the official scorer at the Civic Center for the Baltimore Bullets, died April 24 in Florida of complications from Parkinson's disease at Boca Raton Regional Hospital in Florida. He was 81.
