Coached by Jen O'Brien, a South Carroll graduate (she was Jen Kasper back then), VCU boasts four former county players — freshman attacker Molly Barcikowski (Liberty), freshman defenders Caroline Debnam (South Carroll) and Morgan Hoff (Manchester Valley), and redshirt freshman midfielder Sky Hyatt (Century).

Now with Rhode Island, former Towson guard Four McGlynn set to play Maryland in Mexico

Since the terms of his scholarship release stated that he couldn¿t transfer to George Washington or an America East school, McGlynn headed to Towson, close to his home in York, Pa. Though his role expanded in his two years with the Tigers, the 6-foot-2 guard thought he could play at a higher level. He signed with Rhode Island, which seemed loaded with guards including star E.C. Matthews.

Terps get top seed in NCAA women's lacrosse bracket

At 17-1, the Terps clearly emerged ahead of second seed North Carolina (15-3), third seed Duke (14-4) and fourth seed Syracuse (14-7) after the Tar Heels lost to Syracuse in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament, the Blue Devils lost to Johns Hopkins Sunday and Syracuse lost to Loyola Maryland Saturday.
