Updated school closings and delays

Weekly Maryland recruiting roundup

The Baltimore Sun

Maryland's pursuit of a four-star center in the 2014 class is continuing this spring.

Terps Recruiting caught up this week with Trayvon Reed, a 7-foot, 200-pound rising senior from Snellville, Ga.

Reed says the schools standing out to him are "Florida, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida State, Maryland and many others," but notes that he doesn't have a specific timeframe for making a decision. He told Rivals.com's Alex Kline last month that he plans to make his decision sometime next spring.

In the meantime, he'll soak in the recruiting process. He hasn't visited Maryland yet, but says "I plan to," adding that he's talked to the coaches "a couple times."

** The Washington Post's Alex Prewitt reported Friday that 2014 wing Jared Nickens will take an official trip to Maryland on June 14, followed by visits to Wake Forest on June 21 and Dayton on June 28.

** Donte Grantham, a D.C. Assault forward and Terps target from West Virginia, will reportedly reclassify to 2014 and do a prep year at Hargrave Military Academy.
